Acclimatization kit for the safe introduction of shrimp
Give your new shrimp the best possible start in their new home. With our acclimatization kit, you can easily acclimatize the shrimp to the aquarium's water values through a slow and gentle drip acclimatization, which reduces stress and increases the chance of a successful introduction.
How to use the kit
1. Prepare the bowl
Place the prawns in a clean bowl together with the transport water.
The bowl should hold at least 2 liters of water.
2. Mount the hose
Place the oxygen stone in the aquarium.
Place the other end of the tubing in the bowl with the shrimp.
3. Start the drip acclimatization
Open the valve slightly and gently suck on the end of the hose until the water starts to flow.
Adjust the valve to approx1 drop per second.
4. Let the prawns get used to it
Allow the aquarium water to drip into the bowl for approx2 hours.
During this time, the shrimp gradually adapt to their new water values.
5. Move over the prawns
Carefully catch the shrimp with a net.
Transfer them to the aquarium without pouring in the transport water.
