Work carefully and follow the directions. Check that no sand is trapped between the tool and glass because this may cause scratches.

Move animals away from the work area and avoid sudden movements. Never use soap or household chemicals on equipment returning to the aquarium.

Rinse with clean water, remove organic residue and allow it to dry. Separate equipment for each aquarium reduces the risk of spreading disease or unwanted organisms.

Clean as needed during routine maintenance. Avoid cleaning every surface and filter medium at once because this can disturb beneficial biofilm.
