Wild Type Tiger is a natural variant ofCaridina cantonensiswith a transparent body shell and characteristic dark tiger-like stripes. It is an elegant and active dwarf shrimp that suits both experienced shrimp keepers and aquarists who want to take the next step from Neocaridina.

Behavior
Wild Type Tiger is a peaceful and social shrimp that thrives with other calm shrimp, shellfish and peaceful fish that require similar water values.
Reproduction
• Females usually carry between 20 and 40 eggs
• Fully developed fry are released after about 4–6 weeks
• Propagate relatively easily in a stable aquarium

The species is mainly herbivorous and grazes on biofilm, algae and organic material in the aquarium.

Recommendation
Wild Type Tiger thrives best in a stable and well-run aquarium with plenty of mosses, plants and hiding places. Regular water changes, good biological balance and stable water values provide the best conditions for healthy shrimp, strong colors and good reproduction.
