About the species
Anubia's barteri was. nana is a small and attractive plant that thrives in all conditions. It originates from Cameroon and grows 5-10 cm high. The plant can be 10-15 cm or more. It grows slowly and the leaves survive for years, giving slow-growing algae the opportunity to establish themselves.
Best results are achieved by planting it on a rock or tree roots. Fishing line can be used to secure the plant until it takes hold. If planted on the bottom, the plant must not be covered as it tends to rot. It often blooms under water and thrives in shady places where other plants do not.
It is not eaten by herbivorous fish.
