'Reni' is a well-known cultivated variety characterized by being easy to grow and among the smallest of the red Echinodorus, 15-40 cm tall and with a rosette from 15-25 cm wide. The new leaves on the plant are reddish-brown to deep beetroot. It can be used in small aquariums and is undemanding. The plant requires a lot of light and nutrition for optimal color development.
